TalentReach is hiring on behalf of a technology client seeking an experienced Global Compensation Consultant to provide hands-on support across a variety of compensation initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong compensation expertise with exceptional Excel and data skills and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving technology environment.

The Global Compensation Consultant will support offer development, salary range creation and maintenance, compensation cycle testing, data audits, pay transparency initiatives, and employee communications. This person will work closely with business and HR partners and will be expected to bring sound compensation judgment when navigating complex or rapidly changing requests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare compensation and offer proposals, providing guidance based on internal compensation structures, market data, and applicable requirements.

  • Create, analyze, and maintain salary ranges and compensation structures.

  • Support annual and mid-year compensation planning cycles, including testing, validation, data analysis, and issue resolution.

  • Audit compensation data within Workday, identify discrepancies, and coordinate or complete necessary corrections.

  • Perform advanced compensation modeling and analysis using Excel, including complex formulas and large-scale datasets.

  • Work across multiple SharePoint environments containing significant volumes of compensation and employee data.

  • Support compensation-related Workday initiatives, including work associated with advanced compensation planning.

  • Provide guidance related to FLSA requirements and compensation practices.

  • Support U.S. and EU pay transparency initiatives and evolving compensation requirements.

  • Develop training materials, employee communications, and other resources related to compensation programs and processes.

  • Help develop and organize intranet content and materials that will support an internal AI agent.

  • Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders to evaluate compensation requests and provide practical, well-reasoned recommendations.

  • Serve as a trusted compensation resource who can balance business needs with compensation philosophy, internal equity, compliance considerations, and established practices.

  • Adapt quickly as priorities, business needs, and project direction change.

Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience in compensation, preferably supporting complex or global organizations.

  • Previous compensation experience within the technology industry is required.

  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated experience building sophisticated models, working with complex formulas, and managing very large datasets.

  • Strong experience with Workday, including compensation data, auditing, and compensation-related processes.

  • Experience supporting annual and/or mid-year compensation cycles.

  • Experience developing and maintaining salary ranges and compensation structures.

  • Experience preparing compensation and offer proposals.

  • Strong working knowledge of FLSA requirements.

  • Knowledge of current U.S. and EU pay transparency requirements and trends.

  • Experience working extensively within SharePoint environments.

  • Ability to audit, reconcile, analyze, and correct large volumes of compensation data.

  • Experience creating training materials and employee-facing communications.

  • Global compensation experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting AI-enabled tools, knowledge bases, intranet content, or similar initiatives is a plus.

What Will Make You Successful

  • You are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large amounts of complex data, but you also understand that compensation is not just a spreadsheet exercise.
  • You can explain your recommendations, challenge requests when necessary, and serve as a thoughtful voice of reason with business partners.
  • You thrive in a high-speed technology environment where priorities can shift quickly and direction may change frequently.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, can pivot without losing accuracy, and know when to move quickly versus when a compensation or compliance issue requires additional scrutiny.
  • Most importantly, you bring strong compensation judgment, exceptional Excel capabilities, and the confidence to work independently across multiple initiatives while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
